Does anyone know what privileges are necessary for an NT service account to run the Oracle database services?
I tried setting up a service account that has *log on as service*
privileges, but when I run the services with that account, I can't connect
to my database instances.
I've temporarily resorted to running the services as <Local System> (the
default), but this cannot be a permanent situation.
Does anyone know *exactly* what privileges a service account needs for
Oracle7?
BTW, I'm having similar problem with a service account for Oracle
Intelligent Agent.
I am currently running Oracle7 Workgroup Server 7.3 (Enterprise upgrade is on the way) on a 4-processor Compaq with 256 mb RAM under Windows NT 4.0.
