Regarding points 1 & 2 that Michael makes, Dimensional Insight's CrossTarget product, which I should say also has it's own "standard" interface, also has an API that allows a developer to use the OLAP engine while customizing the interface to their heart's content. Also, CrossTarget is a 32-bit app with what we think is great performance--but you should judge that for yourself.
