Designer/2000 1.3.2 and Oracle 7.3.2.2.0 / 7.3.2.3 update failures and coredumps

In order to upgrade our Oracle Server 7.3.2.2.0 on HP-UX 10.20 (part #: A47934-1) to version 7.3.2.3 which is supported for Designer/2000 1.3.2 we"ve received an Oracle7 Server V7.3.2.3 Patch (part #: A49638-1). After installing this patch all kinds of totallz irrational locking errors started to show up (trying to delete a table definition from the repository resulted in a locking error even if only one single user was connected, it was impossible to define an alias for a table because the element was said to be locked etc...). We've got the strong impression that the patch we"ve received is not intended for an upgrade from 7.3.2.2.0, but the documentation that came with it doesn"t give any useful information conerning that.

We are running Designer now with Oracle Server 7.3.2.2.0 but this constellation causes all kinds of ORA-600 errors to occur freuqently and attempting a reconcile (alter) operation causes the corresponding oracle server process to core dump.

Any pointers as to what"s the proper patch to upgrade to 7.3.2.3 are greatly appreciated.

thanks,
dave
