PowerPlay runs off an multidimensional DB which is created from the RDBMS via Impromptu (isn't it ?). It's a different classification of OLAP product and comparing it with BO and Discoverer isn't comparing eggs with eggs. If you need a multidimensional DB I suggest you look at Oracle Express.
