I have recently done 2 Oracle RDBMS upgrades (7.1.4 -> 7.3.2) on Novell 4.11servers. I also got some Netware abends when trying to connect. I contacted Oracle support to get a solution.
The abends disappear when altering the NLS_LANG variable in the config.ora file. To retrieve the correct NLS character set : select value$ from props$ where name = 'NLS_CHARACTERSET';
Oracle support also mentioned something about setting up a IPC Protocol adapter for starting up/shutting down the database. (not yet done)
Oracle support said that SQLNet V1 is no longer supported with Oracle RDBMS 7.2 & 7.3. Regards
