Carl,
For small disk farms, less than 20 Physical disks, I have always use Duplexing. Not that RAID5 is not a great it's just that having duplexing will allow you to better plan the performance of your database. If however you have a situation where you have multiple disks and define more than 5 RAID5 sets than you can go with RAID5.
