Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> Binary (photo) data in Oracle v7.3.2
Question Gang,
I have been requested to start storing some binary data (jpg or gif photo files) in my database. (v7.3.2 on Solaris 2.5.1)
My hunch is that I would use something like long raw for the datatype. My question is are there any good ideas about how to easily get the data into the table (lets say that I create a table just for this column, and a foreign key to the master table) and also some suggestions about viewing the data...
My clients are running on MacOS (mixed PPC and 68K). Any good apps that can make use of this data? ...can BrioQuery or DataEdit handle this picture data?
Thanks,
