Hello,
We have just encountered the exact same symptoms as you described below. For a while I was thinking that we might have a problem with the particular ODBC drivers our apps were using, but then I found the trace files which have both SIGBUS and SIGSEGU errors in them.
I will call this into support also, and see if we can put some pressure on them. If you would, I would greatly appreciate it if you would pass along any info that support might give to you toward resolution to this problem, and I will do the same for you. In the meantime, I may try what someone suggested, which is to delete the statistics for the table(s) being accessed at the time of abend. This doesn't seem like a good long term solution though.
If you would like to call to discuss our mutual problem, I can be reached at (404) 982-6597. My name is Tony Rodgers. I would be happy to share any info we may be able to collect.
Best regards,
Tony Rodgers

We recently deployed an app into a test environment (not developed with oracle products) using Oracle 7.3 on a Sun Solaris Server. The
app runs fine except when we execute a particular Query and get ORA-03113. The manual says that SQLNet isn't configured properly. The trace file that this error generates lists an ORA-07445 message,
which according to the manual is an O/S problem.
As far as we can tell the Server is configured correctly so the problem lies with Oracle, but we can't figure out just what the problem is.
Currently we have a support call into Oracle and are waiting a reply.
This is the first time we have ever had this problem and I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and found a way to correct it?
Anything I;ve found on the 'net suggest changing the parameters of
the
INIT<SID>.ORA file for the server (CONTEXT_AREA, DB_BLOCK_BUFFERS,
etc.).
Any suggestions, advice would be grately appreciated. Received on Thu Mar 20 1997 - 00:00:00 CST
