Oracle's latest release of their Enterprise Backup & Recovery tool
(OEBU), release 2.1 is supposed to perform automatic recovery. Meaning
it understands the proper order of the redo logs and applies them
automatically. When you perform a restore you tell OEBU that you want to
recover to a point in time or to recover to the last point before the
failure.....
I believe the orginal poster was looking at OPS on HP/UX. OEBU is supported on HP/UX but according to Oracle's web site only by Legato (www.legato.com0 & OpenVision (www.ov.com). Received on Mon Mar 17 1997 - 00:00:00 CST
