I had the same problem and was told by several people that the Login box is hardcoded into the ODBC driver (stupid, stupid, stupid!) The only workaround I could think of was to bypass ODBC for my Login screen, i.e. my Login screen uses Oracle Objects for OLE, or you could program to the Oracle OCI. Simply log in and out again this way, which will let you verify the user name and password. Then you can pass the login info to your existing ODBC application.
