We identified some complex views which get used frequently by online users. We picked the most troublesome one and set up a scheduled sqlplus run of it once a day with timing on to display the runtime.  We plot this and watch for spikes. I hope to add more views and make the script accumulate the times in a history file I can suck into EXCEL and plot.
