Oracle performance tuning

I recently upgraded

From:

    Oracle 7.0.12 running on
    Netware 3.11 (486, 64MB)
To:

    Oracle 7.22 running on
Netware 4.11 (pentium 192 MB Ram, w/faster scsi drives)

Our application is DOS Forms 3.0 Menu 5.0 based.

I can see no difference in performance whatsoever, in spite of 3 times the memory, and faster I/O.

I modified my init.ora to increase the shared_pool_size, db_block_buffers, etc. I even dropped, and recreated all my indexes, and yet no matter what I do, it still seems to run as slow as before the upgrade.

When I browse thru the trace and alert logs, I notice references to "Memory leaks in the PGA stack", and a number of cryptic messages.

Any ideas on performance tuning ?? Received on Mon Nov 18 1996 - 00:00:00 CST
