TNS and SQL*Net

Hello,

I have users that are being dropped as inactive sessions after only 2 or 3 minutes of inactivity. I am not certain of the timing because they have not been able to reproduce it while I was there.

I have a parameter set in SQLNET.ORA that is SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME = 10. This is the default that the Oracle manual "Understanding SQL*Net" recommends. I have not changed any database parameters in more than a month. Is there any other place that I should look?

The vitals are:

WinNT 3.51
Compaq Pentium 128M RAM
12 Users
Oracle 7.1.3.3.22
PeopleSoft AP/Commercial Sector
Win31 Clients
NetWare-TCP/IP connections

Any ideas on where I should look would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

David Daniel
