Pro*C linke error

hi all,
we have some pro*c programs running on HP-UX 11 and Oracle 8.1.7.0 version.
we are migrating to Oracle 9.2.6.0 version. when i try to compile the pro*c programs in the new oracle environment i get the following linker error...

/usr/ccs/bin/ld: /lopt/oracle/v.9.2.0.6ep/lib//libclntst9.a: Not a valid library (invalid magic number). Possibly a 64-bit PA archive library (Mismatched ABI).
*** Error exit code 1
