Why would you quote a SINGLE sentence in that huge document to make a point ???
This is rather unlike you.

Exact same "sentence" they "said" since 8i http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96524/c13datyp.htm#6538 Yet 4~5 sentences away: " A row's assigned rowid remains unchanged unless ........."

So I stand by my original statement
