Well what we need is a willing guinea pig for a test case... which I am not! Maybe the OP?

Maybe for marketing purposes Oracle Corp invested more effort supporting migrations to 10g than to 9i... I was going with the documented 9i restriction. I'm too lazy to look up the 10g release notes right now.

I would instinctively try to avoid a jump straight from 8i to 10g on general principles, except for the smallest and least important databases. On the other hand, with proper testing, why not? Received on Thu Jun 23 2005 - 20:18:21 CDT
