I can delete directorys with an SMS package, I can also edit the registry if I know the keys too, that is easy. If I remove the c:\P~F~\Oracle directory which contains the current inventory, do I need to do anything with the c:\Oracle\orahome81 directory and any reg entries or is 8i dead once I remove the inventory info?

Currently it is the only install on the system and there is a 3rd party app that needs these files to run correctly. It doesn't care which version is there as long as there is only one version. I have to remove this and then install the 9i runtime and modify the .ora file with some new stuff for our environment. Getting rid of the 8x version has been a thorn in my side. the rest is easy.
