Ouch. There have been MANY upgrades since then. (I'm not sure I'd even dignify that version with the name Application Server.) That was App Server 8i, and we've since gone 91R1, 9iR2, 10gR1 and are on 10g Release 2

Any possibility of having this upgraded to a more current version? One of the incentives to upgrade is to get to a decent version of Java & J2EE under the app server.

Several things have been improved [or made to work] since that release. That was several years ago, but I seem to have a vague memory of some server side persistance challenges.

So, no - other than suggesting that the specific technology is more than obsolete (and a version I really have tried hard to forget) I can't give you any further advice.
