Sybrand,
Broadvision (at least post 4.0 versions) does support DB referential
integrity.
You can however turn it off and in essence not use it.
Try the following:
in bv1to1.conf set the following
db_ref_integrity="1"
1 = ref integrity on .. 0 = off
