NEED HELP with 10g

I just want to set up the Oracle 10g database (I am not a DBA and have limited db experience). I start trying to setup the personal edition, and suddenly there is questions about ports, and domains, et.al. and I have no idea what is going on.

I just want to set up the database, and add columns, rows, and data to cells. (Plus build tablespaces, etc. as I get better).

Can somebody point me to where I can find out just the information on what I want to do above...
