Perhaps sadly, Jonathan's book would likely sell better if it were named simply "Practical Oracle", without the "8i". I try to keep version numbers out of my own book covers. Still though, the marketing people like to print "banners" on my covers saying things like "Covers Oracle9i", or "Includes Oracle Database 10g". Those banners never seem to come off, and I always worry about sales taking a hit when the next release comes out.
