I happened on the following definition of 'marketplace' from dictionary.com:

"A situation or place in which values, opinions, and ideas are put forward for debate or recognition: a marketplace for new ideas; the literary marketplace."

Seems to me that the wonderful and exciting news about PearDB could be announced in the marketplace, without really going outside the charter of the comp.databases.oracle.marketplace group. I encourage Dan from Analysis & Solutions to repost the annoucement in the marketplace group.

Please note: the final comment about 'adding to the killfile' is only valid on newsreader that have killfile capability.
