The "Oracle HTTP Server powered by Apache" (OHS) and the "Oracle Containers for Java" (OC4J) that are included with the database are the same as the OHS and OC4J included with the Oracle9i Application Server.

I remember reading some Oracle document that indicated the OHS/OC4J included for the database is intended for Oracle-supplied applications such as iSQLPlus and OEM.

I suspect the answer to your question comes down only to a license, not a technical, issue. (Bet you know the answer if you ask your rep <g>)
