Huh? The charter explicitly forbids commercial messages, and I have made that clear from the start.

I think there is a compelling reason - that normal discussions about free software releases shouldn't have to wade through all the advertising junk on .marketplace.
But there are others who feel that discussions about Oracle shouldn't have to wade through all the free software announcements.
This is why I think that a third newsgroup, as I mentioned in an earlier article, would be the ideal solution. Then nobody would have to waste time dealing with articles they don't want to read.
