Hi, I am setting up a connection via Heterogeneous Servies to a MS SQL Server database, this is for sending data from Oracle to MS SQL.

Upon attempting a basic insert, we are getting an error saying that the column name is not correct. Whereas the column name is indeed correct.

This occurs only when the destination column is a char/varchar type...??

Has anyone had experience in sending data to MS SQL Server via HS? Any help would be much appreciated!!

BM

eg.

SQL Table -->

MYTABLE

FIRSTCOLUMN int
SECONDCOLUMN varchar(30)

From Oracle....

INSERT INTO MYTABLE_at_hsdef ( FIRSTCOLUMN ) VALUES ( 1 ) works fine....

INSERT INTO MYTABLE_at_hsdef ( SECONDCOLUMN ) VALUES ( 'TEST' ) givess error that SECONDCOLUMN does not exist... Received on Mon Feb 23 2004 - 08:32:32 CST
