I'm in Vancouver... after all this trouble it seems that instead of doing this project I will be supporting Oracle Apps in Victoria for the next couple of months. I have been supporting iAS as DBA but didn't do much development. Besides, Oracle Apps still have 9iAS R1. I will play with 10g and 9iAS R2 as soon as I can. Perl also sounds good since I already use it for other stuff and have all the books/manuals I need.
Question, if I use Perl doesn't it mean that I will be writing CGI scripts? Perhaps I am more out of date than I think...
Perhaps we can talk about it over coffee or beer. I am a consultant and travel quite a bit, mostly in BC, but sometimes in Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
my telus id is 'kgordin'
Thanks, Hans!
