No you just put classes12.zip in your java class path and write your JDBC java code.

No, you have to write some client code first, but apart from that you can just copy it to wherever you need it.

Depends what you mean by client. However Oracle products are generally not Open Source. They do have some OPen Source software that you can download on the OTN web site.

If you looking for something to mess about with the tables, stored procedures etc. then do a google search for TORA.

If it says Oracle for Windows on the CD then it's a fair bet that it is. If however it say Oracle for Linux onit then I'd bet quite a biot that it's for Linux. If you're talking about Oracle Server CDs then they generally go round in threes
