It is worse than 'not necessarily a guarantee'. The only thing your are guaranteed to have when you finish is less money.

Training that is hand's-on real experience is all that matters for 99% of all job opportunitites. If you can do the job great. If not the certificate isn't worth the paper on which it is printed.
