512Mb may be the stated minimum but it installs and runs perfectly well
with 384Mb (Red Hat 7.3, Oracle 9.2) And apparently it can install &
run with 256Mb if there's enough swap space ... see

Seems that it needs more memory to install than to run ... kind like a car that will only start with a boost!
