Hi all,
I apologize for this simple question.

I have a need to access an Oracle database on another server using my PC. I installed SQL*Plus for Windows, but was unable to logon to the database. I have no idea what to enter in the "hostname string".

With the following example information, can someone tell me what the "hostname string" should be:

server address: dbserver.company.com
port: 1521
database: mydb
user: userid1
password: password1
