Network Down

Given Oracle9i RAC Load Balance, AIX5L 5.1, 2 Nodes Clustered, ML03, 64Bit
Today I faced the following , the one of the Database instance was down I checked the alert.log I found this message
.....

Marking down Network with IP x.x.x.x
Marking down Network with IP x.x.x.x
Marking down Network with IP x.x.x.x

......
Shutting down instance: further logons disabled Shutting down instance (immediate)
....
Does any one know why this?
x.x.x.x = priv. IP
