This may or may not be the correct place to post, but I need some advice.

I am part of a conversion group that is converting Financial data from an IDMS system to Oracle Financials.

What I want to do is create some kind of audit report of certain totals and counts from the time the flat file is given to me to load and clean up in Oracle (ltrim,rtrim...), and then pass it on to another developer for them to load into the production table.

We both have our own seperate instances, and basicly I want our numbers to match EXACTLY. I kind of have an idea on what to do, but wanted to hear from other users.

I'm pretty good with SQL and ok with SQL*Plus.

Has anyone seen a report similar to this?

Thanks,
