Tool for import external data

Hi,

I've been looking around for a tool to import external data such as csv-Files.
Most threads in newsgroups recommend to use sqlldr. My experiences using this tool are not the best. It is said that it's very powerful in converting data into the appropriate formats.
But you'll find few examples or web sites or the threads with more information
then the official Oracle manuals.

I admit I'm somehow blessed by the ways of data exchange between MS products. My expectation was that there should exist tools to do it with Oracle in a similar way.
Right I didn't find them.

Any hints?

Regards,
