I saw the earlier mails on this topic.

I am trying to install Oracle 9.2 client on Windows NT/2000/XP and I am getting the same error - "The Java RunTime Environment was not found at C:\Temp\OraInstall2003-02-04_03-01-46PM\jre\bin\javaw.exe. Hence the Oracle Universal Installer cannot be run. Please visit http://www.javasoft.com and install JRE version 1.3.1 or higher and try again"

I have tried this on both Pentium 3 and 4 with no success.

I already have JRE version 1.3.1 installed at C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1_07.

I would like to know if there is a work around/solution to this that worked for someone. Also pls. let me know how to access the archives of this group.
