Hi,

We are migrating Pro*C from IBM AIX to Sun Solaris. Most of the Pro*C ends with ROLLBACK WORK RELEASE.

Everything runs well on IBM with Oracle 8.1.7.0.0, but under SUN with Oracle 8.1.7.3.0, let's say 1% of the execution ends with core dump (SIGSEGV: Segmentation Fault). Everything is OK in the prog, COMMIT is done in the DB. There's "only" core dump before exit() !

I do not manage to find un bug nor a patch for such a bug description on Metalink. I wonder if any1 has encountered such a problem or known a patch I may have missed during my search.

A bulk solution would be simply to remove the 'ROLLBACK WORK RELEASE' command, as I'm expecting ressources to be freed automaticaly when exiting Pro*C (?). A confimation that this solution will not lead to memory leak would be highly helpfull also !

Thx.
