Maximum expressions inside a list - Oracle 8i

All,



My developer tried putting more than 1000 values inside an "IN" clause and
he got this error.


"ORA-01795: maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000"



Can we increase this limit in any way?



Version - Oracle 8i


OS - Windows 2K
