online manuals for oracle 8/9i?

I'am new on oracle and looking for my first steps for a cheap reference-manual of this rdbms...
are there any (well-)known sources of doc-files (handbooks, manuals, user-guides) like the java-manuals from sun in the www??

or how can i get such info's for free?
