Non Java version of Enterprise Manager

Hi Folks, 



I've always hated Java front-ends.


They are hella slow and buggy.



Haven't tried running it on Linux though.



Is there any non-java version of Enterprise Manager that would work on 9i ?



Would it be possible to use the Enterprise Manager that comes with 8i on a 9i DB?
