Yes, to use the Oracle driver they have to have the Oracle client. If they
have an Oracle database already then somewhere in their organization they
have the Oracle client. They could install that first and then install the
Oracle ODBC driver(which is small in comparison). They are still going to
need to configure their tnsnames.ora file etc. regardless of the ODBC
driver. So someone at their place must know how to do a plain Oracle client
install and create the correct tnsnames.ora file. Or are you expecting
people to download this driver and just connect to some sort of Oracle
database without getting IT involved?
