Karsten was actually asking if you have two or more different versions of Oracle installed (say 8i and 9i or 8i and designer). I'd assume from what you said that the answer to this was no.

and then see what nmi.log holds?
I guess the other question to ask is if you are using OEM to manage the database in question. if you aren't then there seems little point in running the agent at all.

You need to find an NNTP server, your ISP will normally provide this information or there may be a free one that allows posting (search google for free nntp server).
