installation problems with oracle 8i client

Hello,



When i tried to install the Oracle 8i Client on my new system, it
crashed without an error message. In the taskmanager i saw that the
process jrwe.exe appeared shortly and then exited. First i thought my
CD is damaged but on my old system everything worked fine.



I am running Windows NT4 SP6a (with a hotfix) on both systems. The
newer one is a P4 (2600MHz), the older a P3 (800MHz).



Maybe someone encountered the same problem before and could help me
???
