How to open a *.dmp

Hello,


i had my first contact to an oracle-database today and now i have a little
(i hope) problem.



A friend gave me copy of an oracle database. This copy consists out of just
one file. It is called copy.dmp.



Now i have the problem, not to know how to open this file. What version of
oracle do i need to open this file?



I hope this question ist not to easy for you :-)
