Is it possible to get the certification in a year? Yes. Is it possible to learn Oracle in a year? No, I have been working with it for 12 years and am still learning every day. I advise you as others have done, to get a copy of Oracle, I suggest 9i since by the time you will be ready to work in the field it will predominate, and learn by doing the examples in the book. Try every command, look for the flaws, try things no one else would think of trying. Break it, fix it, ask questions. If you do this, by the time you finish your certificate, it will mean something.
