Client Spanish Language problem

Oracle Server in a Windows machine.
Oracle Client: Linux box.

If I do a select from the Linux to a Server table with the oracle user or Apache user in sqlplus, I get: αινσϊ, but from the Web (php web page) I get: aimsz

The environment variables are the same for these 2 users (~/.bash_profile),so What's happening?
