Assistance needed w/installing a RAC on Linux

Hello to everyone,

I'm working on installing an Oracle RAC. First time, and on top of that, I'm very much an Oracle neophyte. Anyway, I'm working through the installation manual and I've come up against something that I can't resolve.

The installation procedure talks about a quorum device in the form of a RAW device. It talks about setting up a 4mb partition in shared space for this, and then binding it to a raw device like /dev/raw1 or something. How, exactly, is this accomplished?
