A few hints:
- It goes the best in the latest version. In your case please see if
your Portal version is 3.0.9.8.3 (Administer, Global settings, bottom
of page). Many issues are solved in this patchset. You will have to
apply it to both instances, and re-do your export job after the patch
is applied.
- It is possible to copy over the complete database (with all
datafiles).
- There is documentation on http://portalcenter.oracle.com that
describes how to copy an entire Portal instance using export/import.
Portal 9.0.2 will have a 'wizard' doing stuff for you.
