Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.misc -> O9iAS Portals install
I was able to install O9iAS along with Portals for SUSE Linux 7.3
following the manual provided by Oracle. Everything works fine so I
decided to try and install it again, on a different system, to make
sure I understand everything. The systems are exactly alike and I felt
I wrote down my steps but I must have left something out because no
matter what I adjust I keep getting an "unexpected error occured..."
during configure assistant on the portals part.
Installed O9iAS Standard Edition with JDK-1.1.8; everything works well on this part.
Now installed O9iAS minimal under seperate home dir with JDK 122.
Here is the problem: after the install and the config assistant starts I get through 47% and get "unexpected error..." Here is the log :

ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
Errors encountered in the Install process. Installation Aborted.
I have adjusted shared_pool_size, java_pool, processes, max_roles_enabled. Added plenty of space to all tablespaces. I don't understand why it says "not connected to Oracle" It was connected to Oracle for the previous 13 steps.
Anyone have any ideas?
