We are having a problem trying to install Oracle 8i client on a some
Win2k pro workstations. Basically what happens is the Oracle install
just closes unexpectedly in the middle of the installation. It does
not freeze or report errors, just closes. The machine is a basic
white box PIII with 256MB ram. We tried installing on Win2k with and
without service packs installed and both same results. Anyone have
this problem or know of any hardware incompatibilities with Oracle 8i
installer?
