in that case it may be in the way that you are trying to resolve the ipaddress
or indeed cman is trying to resolve it... (is cman and the lsnr on the same box?)
(do you use hostnames or ipaddr in the listener.ora, cman.ora and tnsnames.ora?)

look at the ipaddr the lsnr is using
then check if cman and you client pc are getting to it correctly

try a trace level 16 on the client and post the errors
