Hi,
we are planning to switch from an ODBMS to a relational DBMS within our
application system. Data access is realized by an application written in
C++. Looking for a suitable DMBS we learned about the object-relational
features of ORACLE. The interface for C++-clients is OCCI. This sounds very
interesting (from the technical object-oriented point of view).
Has anybody made positive or negative experiences with the object-relational
features of ORACLE or the OCCI interface? Is it worthwhile acquainting with
this rather complex topic? Have these techniques found successful use in
projects of medium to larger size?
Thanks for every reply.
